Have you been coming to Quest for a while and are feeling like you’re ready to take the next step in becoming a member? We have a class for you! Join us after service on Sunday, July 23rd for our next membership class. This is the last class being offered before the annual meeting in August when new members are affirmed. Lunch will be included.

Kitchen Ministry: Freezer Meal Frenzy!
Do you love to cook and have a heart for outreach through food? The kitchen ministry will be cooking up a storm on Saturday, July 29th from about 9am-1p(ish) to stock our freezer with meals for families in the church and community when the need arises. It’s amazing what a meal for someone can do to help lighten a load and show that you care. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time to make a meal when the need comes up. This is where this ministry comes in! These meals are already prepared and ready to roll, you just have to pick one up, sign it out and deliver it! Amazing right? So, if you’re interested in helping to stock Quest’s freezer with meals, please contact Laura Howard or talk with her and/or Karen Robertson on Sunday at the ministry table.
Town Hall Meetings
Join us for a Town Hall meeting to hear in more detail how the past year has gone for Quest and what is in the works for this coming year. This is the time to ask questions, express concerns or give insight and encouragement before the Annual Meeting being held on Sunday, August 27th during service. Please register for the meeting so we have enough materials for everyone.
There are two Town Hall Meetings being held. The first is Sunday, August 13th at 6pm at Quest. The second is Monday, August 14th at 7pm. Please be sure to indicate which meeting you’ll be attending when you register. You may register on the event page or at the Ministry Table on Sunday mornings.
Annual Business Meeting
Join us the morning of Sunday, August 27th for our Annual Business Meeting. Instead of a typical worship service, we’ll be holding our annual congregational business meeting. We’ll worship together, celebrate what God has been doing, look ahead to the next year, affirm new members and hold the member vote for anything that may be on the table. This is not the forum for asking questions about or debating the information being presented. There will be Town Hall Meetings held prior to this Annual Meeting to give anyone with questions, concerns or encouragement the platform to be heard.
You do not need to be a member of Quest to attend the meeting. However, if you’d like to vote, you need to be a member of Quest and have gone through the membership class. The last opportunity for becoming a member before the annual meeting will be held Sunday, July 23rd after service. You can sign up on the event page or at the ministry table on Sundays.
When Quest first planted, we were a small church, meeting in a school theater, where multiple baptism opportunities throughout the year didn’t make a lot of sense. This is when our Baptism Palooza was born. Every year, at the end of summer, The Loafmanns generously open their property to Quest to use, we gather under a GIANT tent for an outdoor worship service, invite anyone who would like to be baptized to do so, then we celebrate those decisions for Christ with a giant potluck picnic! For many people, this is their favorite service of the year! So, we figured… yep, let’s do it again!
For the FIFTH year in a row, you’re invited to Quest’s Baptism Palooza! Sunday, September 10th, please join us at Morning Star Farm in Glencoe. Please bring chairs to sit on, a side dish or dessert for the potluck lunch. Quest will provide drinks and the main dish. If you’d like to swim after the baptisms, please bring your swimsuits/towels, and remember, any non-potty trained littles need to wear swim diapers in the pool.
Interested in being baptized? This is the only opportunity each year that we offer baptism. If you or someone in your family is interested in being baptized and taking this next step in their faith, please contact Kevin Hughes.
Getting Plugged In
Quest only happened because of the hard work and dedication from it’s wonderful volunteers. It’s also a great way to get meet new people! Are you looking for a way to get more involved in Quest? We offer many areas that could use a few more people. You can fill out a volunteer form online and we’ll connect you with the ministries where you’re interested in serving.
