Quest Kids is hosting a food drive to help support the Rockwood School District’s Got Your Backpack program. Spring Break is often a hard time for families that are a part of this program as the kids are home from school and more food is needed. SO, to help with this, we’re asking our Quest Kids families (and anyone else that wants to participate) to take a reusable shopping bag that Quest Kids will be handing out, fill it with the items on the list that will be attached and bring it back the following week.
This food drive is short, so the bags will be handed out on Sunday, March 1st and will need to be brought back to Quest the following Sunday, March 8th. This will allows us tie to get the food to Rockwood’s food pantry so they can get it sorted and distributed before spring break the following week. If you have any questions, please reach out to Angie Lievanos.
The items needed are:
- Jam/Jelly (no glass, either plastic jars or squeeze bottles)
- Pasta sauce (no glass, plastic jars or metal 24oz cans)
- Beef Jerky (popular with the high schoolers)
- Canned fruit (15oz size is perfect)
- One-pound bags of rice
