Being a Complement, an Encouragement and a Catalyst

Team 1 and 2 have completed their Haiti mission trips and made it home safely from Anse-a-Galets, LaGonave.  We thank you for being a part of this ministry through the Advent Conspiracy offering, your words of encouragement and your prayers.  We are excited to share with you that the Youth Center pavilion was completed and that the leftover funds will be used to help in the completion of the Youth Center kitchen.

It really is amazing to see what God is doing within this community.  Quest, as a church, and Quest Beyond, as a ministry, wants to be a complement, an encouragement and a catalyst to other churches and ministries.  We see God making that happen here with our partnership with WISH.  Other people and other churches are seeing the transformation and God is calling them to be a part of the work at the Youth Center.  Our two teams represented 4 different churches.

There are other churches sending teams to help with the construction work.  One gentleman sent his concrete company down and poured the basketball court.  Another church has funded the program and program director for the next 5 years.  Those are just a few of the examples from this project known as the Youth Center, where the hope of Christ will be shared with the children of the Saline.

Also, Molly Rayner had the opportunity to lead a one day retreat for the missionary women within the community.  It was a time of rest and encouragement for the ladies as they studied God’s word.  Finally, the 3-year Pastoral Training program has been an amazing collaborative effort with Kevin and pastors from other churches. The pastors in training will graduate its first class this coming May.

To God be the glory!

Peace,
Steve
