Women’s Bible Studies-
“I Didn’t Sign Up for This: Navigating Life’s Detours” By Aaron Sharp
Without the least bit of notice, life can take a sudden turn down a road you never anticipated or never would have chosen to travel. This book offers insights from the life and times of the prophet Elijah to encourage those who have suddenly veered off the road of their expectations into a wilderness experience—divorce, serious illness, family tensions, etc. It will provide guidelines and tools to help you align your expectations with God’s plan, fuel your life with faith to overcome your fears, and find your way home. It offers fresh perspective on the need for God’s direction throughout life’s journey.
Please join the group for this 7-week study, led by Marilyn McDonald, on Thursdays beginning September 18th. The study will be held over Zoom from 9:30-11am.
You can purchase your book from Amazon, Thriftbooks or wherever books are sold. The study guide will be provided. Please sign up for this study at the Ministry Table on Sunday mornings and you will be sent the Zoom link.
“Heaven” by Jennifer Rothschild
Heaven. Who goes there? Where is it? What will we do there? Questions like these arise when we consider an eternal future beyond this physical life. How can we know the truth about what comes next?
In this 7-session video-based study, Jennifer Rothschild explores the subject of Heaven from a biblical perspective. She will separate what’s true about Heaven from what’s based on legend, media depictions, and hopeful guesses. As you walk through the study, you’ll not only gain a deeper understanding of what God has prepared for His children, but also learn how to live with confidence today as you look forward to the glorious unending that awaits. Don’t just wonder about Heaven—embrace it with a faith that turns anticipation into excitement and peace.
The group will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm starting Tuesday, September 23rd (thru November 4th). The group will meet at JoAnn Pinnell’s home in Ellisville. You can get her address from the ministry table or on the Quest Directory.
Get your book from Lifeway or anywhere that books are sold. Please be sure to sign up at the Ministry table on Sunday mornings!

Interconnected
Every man in his heart knows he was made for more. What he often doesn’t understand is that the key for him becoming more is held by others – other men, to be specific. This is known as spiritual friendship. But because most men have so much shame in their lives (“I’ve never become the man I was supposed to be”), they distinctively don’t trust others and so a man’s hope of becoming more fades into a wistful, unattainable, distant dream.
Through sermons, articles and videos, Interconnected gives us a common understanding of this shame. But then it throws men into the maelstrom of the gospel as it crashes up against the power of our shame and will introduce us to a league of extraordinary men – men just like us, who, with Jesus leading the charge, will together charge together through their common brokenness to find freedom in their lives and so learn to love well and to suffer well.
This men’s study will meet on Tuesdays at 7pm at Quest. This group only meets twice per month starting Tuesday, September 16th. Brian Carlin is leading this new study and requires a one year commitment from all fellas that join the group. Sign up at the Ministry Table.
